What are Piles?

Piles, also known as Hemorrhoids, are a condition wherein the tissues get collected in the anal area accompanied with swelling, soreness, itching and inflammation. Piles are usually small and round lumps which can be of varying sizes and may occur in internal or external opening of anus. Internal piles are more common and can be located inside 2-4 cm around the rectal opening, whereas, external piles can be felt hanging outside the edge of anus.

What are the different Types of Piles?

They do not hurt much as less pain sensing nerves are found in the anal area; however, harsh rubbing with cloth, itching, passing hard stool or sitting for long time may hurt and cause pain. Non-Bleeding Piles
